Pool,spa area nice.comfortable rooms.housekeeping/cleaning very good.Friendly staff.

Difficult or no wifi most of the time.actually just a few persons understood english ! Breakfast and dinner needs an upgrade,specially the coffee,uff.

Very quiet, spacious, friendly.

WiFi only works in the common areas. Also some of the spa facilities were not working.

Lovely hotel, would stay again. Thank you.

The staff, the breakfast, the little garden and the gorgeous pool. Short walk to the town, port, and the castle area.

Was travelling alone….. Absolutely no wifi in the room, download movies before you go if you don't go out in the evening. The wifi not that great in reception area, keeps dropping out. I just embraced it because everything else made up for it.

What was the highlight of Hotel San Giovanni Terme Ischia

A beautiful island, plenty to discover, lots to like.

The location was excellent, plenty to see within easy walking distance. The hotel is set in a lovely natural park/ woodland district. We walked from the Hydrofoil port to the hotel, a nice gentle 15 minute walk. Ischia has a good bus service all over the island. The bus station is minutes from the ferry port at Ischia port, next to the yellow church. From the hotel head down to Ischia ponte and the impressive Costello Aragonese. You can spend hours walking around discovering the many terraces , gardens, ancient buildings with breathtaking views, with abundant shady areas to sit and admire it all. There is a coffee shop with an ideal terrace. At Ischia ponte there is a good selection of eating places, bars etc. Plenty of tasteful independent shops to browse. The hotel has a geothermal heated swimming pool, wonderful! And an abundantce of geo heated hot water ! The rooms were tasteful decorated, an excellent sized terrace with views over the gardens. The quality and variety of the meals were outstanding.

Quite close to town centre

Air-conditioning not available until 1pm, there was a heatwave on. Soap dispenser damaged in bathroom. Cleaning left a bit to be desired. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. A bit dated. Beds not very good.

Best Hotel customer service of the Year!

Everything, the staff is fabulos and doesn't cross the line of privacy. The Hotel is in the best location withing the main bars and road to go out at night and the beach with are only 15min away walking distance or 5min away if you take the bus...the weekly pus cost only 15€ worth it the ride if you go with your nann or elderest mum alternatively you could not go out the hotel if you like a 100% relaxation time with the facility like warm pool, Thermal bath warm and ice cold and Turkeish streaming room. All included in the price of the Room. The room are spaceful and the plus of Balconies to relax and dry your towels. Thank you very much to all the Staff!!

Except for the helpful director we didn’t like the hotel! It is not four stars in our opinion.

The director of the hotel was very helpful and kind when we got problems with our room. He did his best to solve the problem and it ends up with another room in their other hotel Royal that was much better.

The AC didn’t work and there were no air in the room and it was very hot. The staff (that didn’t speak English) couldn’t solve it and recommended us to open the balcony door during the night. It end up with hundreds of small ants all over the floor and I woke up at 5 o’clock with hundreds of ants in my bed. The bed was very hard, the pillow wasn’t comfortable and a dot in the shower was broken so we couldn’t use all the functions there. The dining room felt like an institute with poor environment, cold white sharp lights all over the room and a staff with poor English speaking knowledge. At the pool bar we ordered an ice cream and it took over 10 minutes for the staff to give us the ice cream from the freezer - he made two drinks to two ladies first before we get our ice creams that was all ready to deliver from the freezer. We were the only guests except for the two ladies. Very slow service and not so engaged…

We'll be booking a 3rd stay next year

This is our 2nd visit and we'll be going back next year. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and the location is great. Great menu choice and no repeats in the 9 nights we were there. Had an early transfer for our return and breakfast was ready for us at 05.15. The transfer to the airport by taxi, boat and taxi is an experience in itself and sunrise was well worth the early start. The views are simply spectacular
